*In order to fish any division within the City Championship, you must pay a City Tournament Entry Fee of $30.00*
City Tournament Entry Fee: $30.00 per person includes the Saturday meal and the Big Bass Pot. All contestants must pay the $30.00 entry fee regardless of their age.
City Big Bass Pot: $5.00 of your entry fee (per person) of which $4.00 covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Big Bass for Saturday and Sunday with $1.00 going towards the Striper Pot.
Tournament of Champions (TOC) Open Division Money Pot Entry Fee: $40.00 per person with 100% pay back based on $35.00. $25.00 of TOC entry goes towards 1st (50%) 2nd (30%) and 3rd (20%) Place for heavy stringer. Remaining $10.00 will pay the TOC Big Bass 1st (50%), 2nd (30%) and 3rd (20%) Place. The TOC Ladies and Junior’s Division competes for a plaque, with no entry fee required. Ladies and Junior’s are eligible to participate in the Open Division as long as the $40.00 entry fee is paid. In order to qualify to fish the TOC, you must have won any division for any given year within a club that is an existing member or a past member of METRO. If you have not won a division within a club that is a present or past member of METRO, you will NOT be allowed to enter the TOC. Each club will submit a club roster with a notation of who qualifies to fish the TOC. All TOC entries (including the Ladies and Junior TOC entries) will be verified through the METRO Officers. The TOC is considered a separate tournament but is included on this entry for the convenience of METRO members.
Ladies Money Pot Entry Fee: $30.00 per lady with 100% pay back based on $25.00. $25.00 of the entry fee goes towards
1st (50%), 2nd (30%), and 3rd (20%) Place. All Ladies are eligible to fish the Ladies Money Pot. The Ladies Money Pot is considered a separate tournament but is included on this entry for the convenience of METRO members.
Headquarters/Registration: Civic Center, Zapata, Texas. Registration will be held on Friday, October 2nd, at the Civic Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. All contestants must check in at registration. If you cannot make registration, please have one of your club members check you in. Should you not be able to have a club member check you in, please notify Robin McFarlane @ 210-416-4563. Participants who are not able to attend the tournament after registering will not have their entry fee reimbursed.

TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Contestants may fish alone, with another METRO club member, or with a member of their immediate family (husband, wife,
son, or daughter).
2. All contestants must fish from a boat. Trailering is allowed. Fishing will be done on the tournament lake only.
3. All contestants must wear a fastened and zipped life preserver. All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut
off device (kill switch) and must be securely attached to the driver while the boat is on plane.
4. Only artificial lures may be used with the exception of pork rinds. Trolling with the combustion engine is not allowed. Only
one (1) rod may be used at any one time. Other rods may be in the boat and ready for use; however, each cast and retrieve
must be completed before another cast is attempted or rod used.
5. All Federal, State, local laws, and regulations to include tournament traffic control must be observed. All contestants
must have a valid Texas Fishing License along with a Mexico Fishing License if fishing Mexican waters. Lake is off
limits to all contestants Monday through Friday preceding the tournament dates.
6. Fishing hours begin at 6:00 a.m. each day of the tournament. Saturday’s weigh in will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with
Sunday’s weigh in taking place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be no grace period on either day. Contestants who
are not in line by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday or by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday will not be allowed to weigh their fish.
8. The daily limit will be five (5) fish per day per contestant. All fish must be weighed on the day they are caught.
9. All fish must be a minimum of fourteen inches (14”). Anyone bringing a short fish to the scales will be disqualified for that
day. Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted, or Guadalupe Bass will be weighed to determine the standings. Striped Bass
will be weighed to determine the winner of the Striper Pot. Should there not be a Striper caught during the tournament, the
funds collected for that Striper Pot will be rolled over to the following year’s City Championship.
10. There will be a .25# penalty per dead fish. No culling of dead fish, as this is a State Law.
11. There will be no pooling of fish within boats or between boats.
12. Fish must be brought to the weigh in by each contestant or his/her fishing partner.
13. It is the responsibility of each contestant to notify the Tournament Director that he/she has a big fish to weigh in for
big bass.
14 No frozen, mangled, or pale gilled fish will be weighed.
15. All fish weighed will become the property of the Tournament Director, Weigh in Committee, and METRO.
16. All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation.
17. Any contestant caught violating a rule will be disqualified for that day.
18. All protest must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Director within 30 minutes after the weigh in is completed each
day.
19. Photo copies of the Metro City Championship entry form will be accepted.
20. The Tournament Director and the Metro Officer’s have the right to refuse an entry form.
21. Decisions of the Tournament Director are final.
