2.                   Roll Call: There were 5 clubs present and 5 absent.  Clubs attending were:  Alamo Bass Club, Rebel Bass Club, Universal City Bass Club, S.A.P.D. Bass Buster and SwRI.  Clubs not in attendance:  Freedom Bass Club, Helotes Bass Club, Hill Country Anglers, Lone Star Lunkers, San Antonio Bass Club.

3.                   Secretary Report: Robin was unavailable so Debbie Hunter recorded the May meeting minutes. Minutes from the April meeting were accepted as published.

4.                   Treasurer’s Report: Metro’s financial report was provided by Dave Cole and accepted.  We presently have $3,662.43 in the account which includes the $1,045.00 TIFF balance.

5.                   Harvey reported that Robin has the proposals for the City Championship and will be providing the information to the Metro club president or representative only by email the week of May 26th.  The proposals are to be reviewed by the president or representative and the vote will be reported back to Robin.

6.                   Take a Soldier Fishing was held at Choke Canyon, on Saturday, May 2.  Due to the swine flu panic, few soldiers were in attendance.  There were approximately 12 soldiers and 40 boats.  Everyone had a good time.

7.                   Boysville is scheduled for Sunday, July 26th at the pond in Live Oak.  This year’s event will be handled like last year, and Metro is again looking for volunteers to help out.  This year’s weigh in will be conducted by the McFarlane’s and Debbie Hunter.

8.                   Due to the response from the children at McArthur High School and volunteers, there are two more high schools that are interested in getting involved.

9.                   After some discussion regarding the status of TIFF, it was decided by majority vote to dissolve TIFF and roll the money into the METRO general fund.

10.               Leonard Moeller of Canyon Bass Club of San Marcus passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009. UCBC sent a condolence letter.

11.               Harvey went around the table asking the clubs present where they had fished or were going to fish.  SwRI had a good tournament at Falcon. They will be at Amistad in June. No tournament in July or August due to the heat.  Rebel Bass Club also had a good tournament at Falcon and is headed to Choke in June. SAPD fished Mathis and it took 28+ to win. They will be at Choke in June.  UCBC will be fishing Choke this coming weekend and will be at Stillhouse in June.

12.              The next Metro meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 @ the VFW on Aviation Boulevard in Universal City, Texas.

13.              The meeting was adjourned at 8: 25 p.m.
